Note 1: This Lot and Lots 34 and 35 were applied for by Jean Gustave RENATEAU under the 8th clause of the Crown Lands Alienation Act of 1861 as an "Improvement Purchase" vide I.P.69:142 Ms. The improvements on this Lot consisted of a House, Engine (Battery) and Dam, no monetary value known. The Gold Commissioner raised an objection to this application and it was refused on the 25th May 1869. The Crown Plan W.977-1527 is annotated with "Not to be sold see Gold Commissioners Report" (undated). (578)
