Lot 50, Parish of Tambaroora (293)

Note 1: CHEN YU with CUM YU and CHU FO transferred a claim to Thomas COX and J. GUDGEON. The claim consisted of a hut, stable, fencing etc., located in Moonlight Gully. NOTE: Although NOT confirmed this transferred claim could be the future Lot 50 as applied for by Thomas Cox and John Gudgeon in 1867 - see below. (633)
Note 2: 1867 - Applied for by Thomas COX in 1867 under the 8th Clause of the CLA Act 1861. At the time of the application the lot contained improvements of a hut and garden, two dams were situated outside the fence line, one outside the northern fence and the other on the outside of the southern fence.
3 Dec 1867 - Thomas COX and John GUDGEON were given approval to purchase the Lot, the appraised value was £6/0/0 inclusive of the Deed Fee.
The purchase was forfeited for non-payment of the appraised value of £6/0/0, see the "Advertised for Sale" below.
26 Jul 1869 - The lot was put on sale as Country Lot E Portion 50 at the Land Sale at Tambaroora, but was not bid for. (293)
Note 3: Wah Yet was given 2 acres of Improved land by Thomas Cox, the improvements to the land consisted of a hut of two rooms, two dams and a Garden, the land was on the surveyed Lot 50 in Moonlight Gully. (586)

27th Mar 1902 - W.530-1527 cancelled and replaced by W.3847-2091.
Note: This new Crown Survey Plan shows a boundary paling fence and an internal stick fence running approx. north south, the area is larger then the 2½ acres drawn on the plan, a large dam still exists outside the southern boundary with a hut within the western fence line. Within the fence boundary is a notation "Vegetable Garden - poor soil". Value of improvements noted were Hut £5/0/0, fence £4/17/6, fence £1/12/6, clearing £5/0/0, fruit tree's £2/0/0
