View over Chinatown looking south c.1872

Location: Chinatown
My Comment: This view has been taken from the side of Red Hill looking south over Chinatown and the Township.
The buildings in the foreground is Chinatown consisting of bark and timber buildings and fences. The corrugated iron roof of the General Store on Lot 2 Section 1 run by On Gay can be seen centre left of the image. The roof tops of the Chinese Joss House on Lot 3 or 4 of Section 1 can also be seen in the centre of the image. Saint Saviours Church of England Church in the left centre of image is located on Lot 4 and 5 of Section 2.
The image in the Town Views Menu shows the location of identified Lots and buildings. (653)
