| My Comment: | This Lot was first purchased by Edward LONG on the 12th Dec 1863. The hotel was originally known as the Warriors Arms Hotel up until the Lot was sold by auction on the 11th May 1865 due to Edward LONG's voluntary Insolvency (see Land Ownership/Town/Section 4/Lot 2 Sect 4 up to 23rd Dec 1865). At the time of the sale in 1865 the Hotel was being leased to Mr. Luke Salkeld. The following is a description from the advertised Insolvent Estate sale of Edward Long on the 11th May 1865, "The building was of brick construction containing five rooms on the ground floor, and the bar, with good entrance hall. On the first floor are six rooms. In the yard is a kitchen and seven-stall stable, with other conveniences" (515). The building attached at right was part of the Lot as was a bark roof and wall building out of the image. One of only 2 two storey buildings known to have existed in Tambaroora township.
